Who We Are
MFD.co.in is operated by Amit Verma, an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor in India (ARN-349400). We act only as a distributor of mutual fund schemes (Regular Plans) and do not provide SEBI-registered investment advisory services.

We collect, use, and process your personal data as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and in line with applicable SEBI regulations, RBI guidelines, and the AMFI Code of Conduct.

KYC – Mandatory SEBI/RBI Requirement
KYC (Know Your Customer) is compulsory before investing in any mutual fund scheme. We collect only the minimum KYC details required by law (such as PAN, ID proof, address proof, and bank details) and share them solely with:

  • Respective Asset Management Companies (AMCs)
  • Registrars and Transfer Agents (RTAs) – e.g., CAMS/KFintech
  • Government or regulatory authorities where required by law

All KYC data is processed securely and used only for regulatory and transaction-related purposes, not for marketing or sale to third parties.

Data We Collect (Minimal & Purpose-Limited)
We collect only such data as is reasonably necessary for providing services:

  • Contact details: Name, email, phone number (via website forms, WhatsApp, or email enquiries)
  • KYC and investment details: PAN, ID/address proof, bank details, and transaction data, only to facilitate mutual fund investments and related services
  • Site usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and basic analytics for security, troubleshooting, and improving the Website (with minimal cookies for functionality only)

We do not collect unnecessary personal data (such as contact lists, location, or device data) for marketing purposes.

Lawful Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on one or more of the following bases:

  • Consent: For enquiries, contact forms, and non-mandatory communications
  • Legal obligation: To comply with KYC/AML and other regulatory requirements under SEBI/RBI rules
  • Contractual necessity: To process your mutual fund transactions and provide related services

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing unrelated to our mutual fund distribution services.

Sharing & Transfers
Your data is shared only to the extent necessary with:

  • AMCs and RTAs for processing transactions and servicing investments
  • Banks and payment service providers for transaction execution, where applicable
  • Regulatory or governmental authorities when legally mandated

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not transfer your personal data outside India unless required by law and with appropriate safeguards.

Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held with us
  • Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of data when it is no longer needed for the stated purpose or legal obligations
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting prior lawful processing)

Security & Retention

  • As required by SEBI, AMFI, RBI, tax, and other applicable laws and regulations,
    after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Children
